World renowned researcher and conservationist Ocean Ramsey explains critical information to minimize the potential for adverse shark encounters and maximize appreciation of sharks in her exclusive online course spanning 20+ video lessons. Learn about shark personalities, shark language, and practical tips to keep safe if you encounter a shark - and what to do in the highly unlikely scenario that a shark bites you. If you want to learn more about sharks and safety, the buck stops here.

Are you fascinated by sharks?

Whether you're simply curious to learn more about the behavior of these apex predators or how to avoid adverse encounters, few people on earth have spent more time up close and personal in the water with sharks than researcher Ocean Ramsey. She has a lifetime of knowledge to transform your fear to fascination and create a safer environment for sharks and humans.

Any closer and you'd be diving with Ocean Ramsey and the sharks in Hawaii.

The only thing better than this course is joining Ocean on a shark dive in Hawaii. Which we still highly recommend you do. It's absolutely transformative. But if you're not able to get to Haleiwa, this is the next best thing.

Learn about shark behavior and how to avoid adverse interactions.

"A lot of people are afraid of sharks. It's because of the way that they're negatively portrayed and mis-portrayed in mainstream media. Unfortunately, it's true that about 10 people a year die from a shark-related incident, most likely from a mistaken identity bite, a single bite and release. However, on the flip side, the question I like to ask a lot of people, how many sharks do you think are killed by humans every year? And I want you to think about that for a minute and take a wild guess in your mind: How many sharks do you think are killed by humans every year? Sharks kill 10 people. Humans kill over a hundred million every year."

    About Ocean Ramsey

Ocean Ramsey is one of the world's leading shark researchers and divers. "I hope to inspire a shift from fear to fascination," says Ramsey. "I'm grateful to be a part of that, to start to create those conversations around sharks: What are they really like? It's fear to fascination, replacing fear with scientific facts and allowing people to see another side, and actually, the reality." Ramsey operates One Ocean Diving in Haleiwa, Hawaii, and also runs the nonprofit Ocean Inspired, which is dedicated to shark research and conservation. "Inspiration is actually the approach that I love to take for conservation," says Ramsey.
